October SEO Link Round-Up

It’s been very busy for me this month so unfortunately I do not have anything to write about. However, I am introducing my monthly link round-up where I share some of the most link worthy blog posts out there about SEO - I guess that’s my treat. As for the trick? Well - there is none. I am not putting up any old links just for the hell of it. I passionately endorse these articles because I know I will refer to them again in the future. ...

New Blog (Domain), New Goals

I’ve officially transitioned my SEO blog from the free wordpress.COM to the paid wordpress.ORG version. Everything went off without a hitch and I can’t thank the WordPress team enough for making this process ridiculously easy. I have yet to work on the color scheme and layout although that can always come later. With that out of the way, I think it’s time to set some goals for my new blog domain. I am the type of person who likes to reassess their goals every year, half-year and quarter. I admit it maybe a little extreme but it keeps me focused on my long term goals. Interactive Marketing Salaries for 2011

Interactive marketing is hot in the job market right now and a recent report by ClickZ illustrates the increase in salary since 2010. What is fishy about this study is how they don’t account for experience. For instance, the salary for an interactive copywriter this year gained 2.5% but is that for one who has 6 months or 5 years of experience? Additionally, the results may be skewed as it doesn’t take the location of the respondents into account. A major city like New York will obviously offer a higher pay grade rather than a small backwater town like Willow Creek, Alaska. ...

Funny and Interesting Search Phrases of 2010

Happy new years eve!!! Just a few more hours before the start of 2011 and I thought it’d be a great idea to showcase some of the top funny and interesting search phrases of 2010 for CafePress. I had to sift through copious amounts of data to find them and even then I had a difficult time narrowing them down. I love looking for these weird tidbits because they are always a nugget for a good laugh. Moreover, it still boggles my mind on how people are able to find CafePress using search phrases that are totally unrelated to the business. ...
